I picked up my boat (electric brakes) and everything was fine and unhooked trailer. The next day we went about 2 miles, and everything stopped and then no crank. Everything works inside the cab except fan motor, but screen shows speed works. Dash with key on shows Service AdvanceTrac and Trailer Brake Module Fault. Attached are some of the codes. Sorry the app won't let me attach pic's so these are some of the codes. U0100, U0121, U0131, U0137, U0151, U0154, U0159, U0100-87, U0121, U0422
Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks, Phil

The first thing I would do is check the fuses, here is a guide to help and the location of the fuses as well, please do the testing with the systems on. Also, you should swap out the PCM relay here is the location as well.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

If the fuses are okay, I would send the PCM out for testing.

U0100 - Lost Communication with ECM/PCM
U0121 - Lost Communication with Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module
U0131 - Lost Communication with Power Steering Control Module
U0137 - Lost Communication with Trailer Brake Control Module
U0151 - Lost Communication with Restraints Control Module
U0154 - Lost Communication with Climate Control Module
U0159 - Lost Communication with Parking Assist Control Module
U0100-87 - ECM/PCM "A" Communication (Bus off)
U0422 - Invalid Data Received from Body Control Module "B"

Here is the location of the PCM so you can send it out for testing and get a preprogrammed unit if it is bad to help fix the problem. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Hi, my question on this truck is that I noticed the security light on the dash isn't flashing. Can you explain what would cause this? I'm just getting back to my truck after the whole house had covid. Thanks Phil

Yep, COVID is no fun. It could be one of the modules is out or you have some fuses that need to be replaced. I would check the fuses first and if all are okay. Let's run a CAN scan. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how:

Hi, this is what I have so far. Engine fuse box fuse 52, 53, 54, and 56 are dead with key on. Tomorrow I'm going to the inside fuse box to see what I can find.
Thanks,
Phil Prince

Those fuses get their power from the run start relay, I would swap it out to see if that fixes it, if not you may have an ignition switch that is not working correctly.

Here is a guide to check for power in each position of the key which triggers the BCM to turn modules on:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-test-light-circuit-tester

Here is the location of the run start relay as well. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Hi Ken,

This is what I've found out since my last contact, sorry is so long but I hope it leads to the next step.

With key on - Interior Fuses 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, are dead, Alldata says 43, 44, 45 are not used but all have fuses in slots

Added on information on fuse 37 has no power ( trailer bake control ) remember hauled trailer just before problem and trailer brakes worked unhooked trailer and drove 1-2 miles and died. Would this stop all the communication to the PCM? I see it comes with a relay.

Put new Ford PCM power relay in.

Auxiliary battery junction box (BJB) I'm not sure where this is or what this is? Anything I need to check here?
Let me know what you would check next.
Thanks,
Phil Prince

It looks like you have a bad connection, or the fuse panel has gone out, also how it the battery, does it crank the engine over nicely? The power for the fuses comes directly from the battery. Here are the wiring diagrams so you can see. The battery junction box might be bad. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Hi Ken,

I'm on my last try which is clean everything on the positive battery terminal. I did put an OEM ignition switch, and everyone knows a new it has got to be good. Lol
Could you tell me about a few places in the Minnesota Twin Cities that can check ECM and reprogram it if bad. I'm sure you can't recommend a certain shop but if you could give me a few choices.
Thanks,
Phil Prince (I will send you what happens)

Yep, I have no idea who to go to in your location. I have people search eBay or Google for a place that can do the testing. Sorry
