My car listed above (SS model) is giving me one faulty part or another. My dash lights don't work, my taillights don't work, blinkers nor hazards. I can't program my fob to work with the security system because I can't see my stereo. It overheated and the temperature gauge never indicated it being hot. Now it sounds rough and has a clattering and no oil pressure.

Hi,

It sounds like you have a lot going on with this. Where would you like to start? I ask because it sounds like it may have engine damage that would require replacement.

Is it possible for you to record the engine noise and upload it for me to hear?

Let me know. Also, let me know what you would like to diagnose first.

Take care,

Joe

I'm pretty sure it's my security system. Most of the things I listed in my original question were fixed one after another. I now need to put a resistor on my ignition wire. Can you please explain how many ohms my car needs for one and the right procedure it takes to make it work? Thank you.

Hi,

Are you trying to bypass the security system? If that is the case, I don't have that specific information. I do know there are other sites online that explain how it's done.

Also, if you feel the anti-theft is the cause, try this. Allow it to sit with the key in the run position for approximately ten minutes. The security light should turn off and the vehicle should start normally.

Let me know.

Joe
