But you never said if this was for a 4X4 transmission or regular transmission?

Hi Larry,

The transmission on either vehicle would be the same. Actually, the tail housing would be different to accommodate the transfer case on a 4wd, but the transmission itself is the same. Also, servicing is done the same as well.

If you are concerned, I attached the directions below for changing the fluid, filter, and pan gasket. This is from a 5.4L The 4.6L is similar.
