One of the yellow plug thingies popped off while I was idling. It sounds like a old lawnmower fighting with an angry sowing machine.
I was wondering if I could fix it myself. If so how do you suggest? It's the 3rd one back on the passenger side of the truck. Thanks,
Carla

I would assume you are talking about a spark plug wire but your vehicle should have coil on plugs so this thingy wouldn't be a spark plug wire. Can you get a picture of it and we will be able to identify it? Thanks

5.4 engine, the description sounds like it may have blown a plug out of the head. That would explain a coil popping off. A picture or better a video of the sound it makes running would be a good thing.
