Has lower miles for the year, no driving issues, no abnormal sound from motor. light comes on and off, added oil to max level still comes on... Where is the sensor located so I can check any breaks in it?
This is an 02 325ci convertible.

Hi,

The oil pressure switch is on the left side of the engine. If you look below, I attached the directions and pics for removal and replacement.

If you find there are no issues, then you should perform an oil pressure test using a mechanical pressure gauge. Basically, the electric switch is removed and a mechanical gauge insert is installed. It's easy to do.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Joe
