Good morning, sir,

The vehicle, when the gear lever is placed in drive (D), the indicator light on the combination meter will display neutral N, but the vehicle is accelerating properly on the road.
Could there be any test to know if it is the neutral safety switch that is bad or what could be the done?

Hi,

Based on your description, it sounds like an adjustment issue. Does it do this with all gear selections?

Here is what I would recommend: Check the shift cable adjustment. I would go through the procedure for proper adjustment to see if it takes care of the problem.

If you look below, I attached the directions for adjustment. Take a look through them and let me know if you are comfortable performing them or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
