Someone put conventional oil in my car a small amount i think but it takes full synthetic. A few days later it lost power in the pedal and is badly leaking oil. Can adding the wrong oil even a small amount, to this car cause problems with the motor?

Hi,

If a small amount was added, it shouldn't have damaged anything. Can you tell where the leak is coming from?

Check to see if the leak is high or low on the engine. Also, in this case, I feel it is more likely that the oil may have been overfilled.

I attached the directions below for you as far as checking the oil level. Check this and let me know what you find.
