Wrong CV axle part installed on vehicle

My cousin changed out my 2 CV axles. i feel and believe he put wrong CV axle parts as he had wrong set. then took them back grab a different set he said they were wrong ones. then he still manage to install them car does not feel or drive same tires screech. Around corner and taking off from having to stop at lights feels weird under feet bottom of car. when driving i told him if they we're not correct ones not to install them he insisted it was okay. I do not know but I am super worried. any thought or answers? thank you

Is there any chance you can find the receipt? it would have the part number on it so that you can double check if they are correct. The only time that I am aware of that putting the incorrect axle in is okay is if it is for a car with ABS and the the car doesn't have ABS. If the axles are too long it would cause binding possibly causing the symptoms you have described. If they are too short they most likely come apart possibly causing other mechanical failures.

If you can find the receipt you can go to the auto parts store's website, put in your car's information and see if the part numbers are correct, if the numbers don't match make sure to put the correct ones in, if the numbers match I would be concerned that they weren't installed properly, one common sign that they aren't is transmission fluid leaks, look and see if you are getting any leakage, it won't necessarily be a large leak but if the axle isn't seated the whole way into the transmission they will usually leak.

If you can let us know if you can check the part numbers and if you have any leaks we will be glad to assist you further however I would address this issue before driving the car any further since other mechanical damage can occur due to this. To me looks as if it's broke or not repaired good. I do not know, but feel like it's not good. thank you for answering appreciate it.

Did you have the front end aligned when the axles were repaired?

If the axles were wrong, you would have a lot of other issues.

Can you take some pictures of the tires as they sit on the ground? The screech you hear may be the tires from being out of alignment.

Hello, CV axle defaulted however had it changed. now leaks transmission fluid out the seals. got changed too, then and the guy who changed it is ignoring me since i cannot afford $95.00 an hour. always something.
