Will not throttle up after the green wire from the plug on the bottom of the throttle body touched the battery and sparked?

I had the plug on the bottom of the throttle body. It has a red wire and a green wire. The green wire touched the battery and sparked. Now it shows a message system fault and gearbox fault and will not throttle up. I’m wondering if it messed up the ECU.

Hi,

The green and red wires control the throttle motor. If you shorted it, it should have caused fuse 18 in the under-hood fuse box.

I attached two pics below. The first one shows the wires I believe you are referring to. The second shows the throttle motor fuse and relay located in the power distribution box (fuse box) in the engine compartment.

If the fuse appears to be good, confirm there is power to and from it.

Let me know what you find,

Hi,

The only other thing that I can think of is the ECM unless the throttle control motor was damaged. Are you sure there is power both to and from the fuse I mentioned? If there is, then check to see if there is power at the green wire. It should be powered.

Let me know.

Joe

I rechecked the fuse power on both sides, so I went to the green wire and no power, so I am ordering an ECM. Thank you for your help and time you put into this matter for me.

Did you check the red wire as well for power?

Let me know. The red wire also comes from the ECM. Please check that first and confirm the red wire with a white tracer at the ECM is powered. See pic below.

Let me know.
