Engine shuts off when transmission in put into drive or reverse

Car will start up but stalls out when put in drive or reverse. What can be the problem?

Hello,

It sounds like you have a transmission torque converter that is out. Does the car stall abruptly when put in gear? Can you make a quick video and upload it here so we can see?
