Will not start, it has error on odometer screen, replaced starter?

Jumped relay #57 and motor turned over and started for only a few seconds.

If it has an error message on the odometer screen it means the instrument cluster might be bad and not allowing the engine to start. To be sure we can do a CAN scan which is easy, you can get a CAN scanner from Amazon for about $30.00.

I have a obd11 reader but will not connect says “no comm”.

Does the scanner work on other vehicles? lets make sure fuse # FRT AUX 20 amp is good in the under hood fuse panel. This is what powers the scanner on. Also see if the fuse has power.
