I replaced the starter. The engine cranks, but it will not start. It will start with Easy-start or a jump.

The fuel pressure may be low, any codes? Starting with spray? Will it keep running or will it die again?

When you say it will not start with the starter, but the starter turns the engine, then check to see if you have spark and fuel to the engine while cranking the engine. There is a chance the bad starter damaged wiring to the ignition or other components. Also, make sure you have a good ground to the engine block from the battery.

Did the engine run okay before the starter change? If so I would say go back over the starter to see if some wires were put in the wrong place.

Could you have bumped and damaged some wiring near the starter when changing it? The reason I ask is because 9 times out 10 its something we did when changing the part if it happens right after the repair.

Been over the wiring and pipe with fine tooth-comb, even replaced the crank-sensor which is just below the starter motor.
