Hello,

Can I ask if then security light is flashing when you you are trying the crank the engine cover? If not then I would check the starter relay.

Here is a guide and the relay location and you should check the fuses as well:

The security light is not flashing and the relay is good, I have already swapped it. I have kind of been seen some stuff online saying it is a very common problem with these things. There are a bunch of jerry rigged ways they say to fix it like pulling fuses and finding some ignition alternator fuse located under the column. is there any truth to this stuff? I do not want to mess up something else.

I have not heard of a rigged way which I wouldn't do anyway. The next test is a simple one let use a test light and problem the trigger wire/terminal (small) at the starter to see if it gets power when the key is in the start position.

Here is a guide look toward the bottom.

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
