Will not start in park, will start in neutral, codes P0455, P0442, P0456, and P0139?

Can't start in park, but will start in neutral. The 'P' does not show on the dash when parked.

Got several codes:

P0455
P0442
P0456
P0139

Greatly appreciate any help.

Hi,

All of the codes you provided are specific to EVAP leaks and not to the starting issue.

Since it won't show P for park when you try starting it, either the shift cable is out of adjustment, or the transmission range sensor switch has failed.

I attached the directions for adjusting the shift cable. Try this first and see if it takes care of the issue.
