Tow truck driver said it is probably the starter

Had car for couple of months no problems, then one day I drove it around the corner went in the store for about ten minutes went to leave and it would not start. Had it towed tow truck driver said it is probably the starter, but it never made noises like it was going out. What could it be? Security issues, key ignition, starter relay, fuse?

Is the security light flashing? If not then I would say it is the starter but to be sure we must test for power at the trigger wire (small) of the starter.

You will need to raise the car up to do it.

I would use an AC Delco unit they are a little more expensive but worth it. (diagrams below)
