The car has been in storage all winter. When I went to start it, the battery had drained. Jumped it went to pull one cable off and it shut off. We replaced the battery and now it won’t start.

Hi,

Is the starter engaging now that the battery has been replaced? If it does engage, I need you to check for spark and fuel to the engine.

First, see if it will start for a couple of seconds using starting fluid. If it does, we know its fuel related. If there is no change, I need you to check for spark to the plugs. Here is a link to help:

If the starter isn't engaging, let me know. Keep in mind, if you jump-started it and also changed the battery, a fuse may have failed in the under-hood fuse box.

Let me know exactly what is happening and the engine size.

Take care,

Joe
