Will not start

Car will not start just one click. battery is good. had a smell of wires burning when tried to start. was able to jump starter to get it home. Is the problem the starter solenoid?

If you can jump start the vehicle, it is not a starter problem. Most likely the battery connections or ground cables are loose or bad.
Have the battery tested, it could be weak causing the problem.
