no starter operation

Dash lights all come on turn key nothing. had got a new key about a week ago. Worked fine until yesterday. Dash lights come on when I turn the key to the on position. However, there is no. Crank no start. The engine does not engage or turn over whatsoever. Tried to jump vehicle still nothing happens tried the ten minute leave the key on repeat 3 times. The security light that was solid prior to the turn key test began to flash irratically and was followed by a rapid clicking and then all power was lost. Leaving the car totally dead. Now all lights do not come on tested the battery it is at 4 after doing the 3 ten min

Even though you try and jump the battery it can be so dead that helper battery cannot push through, it sounds like the battery is shorted out. To be sure let's use this guide to confirm the issue:
