My just cut off on me while I was driving. Ran hot. It will turn over but will not stay running.

Okay, you need three things to run, spark, fuel and compression.
Since it ran hot, I would start with compression. Those aluminum engines cannot take overheating without damaging the head gaskets.
Start there.

A compression test will be a good start. Low compression is an indicator, while the plugs are out for this test, a leak down test will confirm. That is a tool that injects air into the cylinder and you watch for coolant movement in the radiator.
