While driving my car a message came up saying "Stop, reduced braking power depress brake pedal fully." While driving back to house car engine stopped working. Have not been able to restart since. I have replaced right side caliper and brake pads. When I turn key to the right the brake message comes up along with battery light. Is there a safety feature that will stop the engine automatically? Can an OBD2 scan tool reset the messages so my car will start again? Any suggestions what else it could be?

You will need a good scan tool to read the actual codes that set that message. It could be something simple like a reset of the brakes or something else, but the codes should give you a better idea.
