Hello, is this Jeep a 2.5-liter 4.0-liter Engine? Also, automatic or standard transmission?
The first thing you will need to determine is what the vehicle is missing,
The basics are spark, fuel, and compression. Checking for spark is the easiest to do first. I'll leave a guide below for you to check for spark, a lot of times on these Jeeps the ignition coil seems to be the first thing to go on them. Be very careful checking for spark on one of the spark plug wires, keep your hands free of the area. The ignition coil puts out 1,000s of volts and a shock from them is pretty bad, i can tell you from experience. If you do have spark, then you would check for fuel pressure.
Those are the first 2 areas to start with. Some people will just start replacing parts, but that can get very costly and not the correct way of diagnosing a vehicle.
