3-5 month old battery.
New fuel pump replaced 1 week ago.
New radiator replaced 1 week ago.
New spark plugs 1 year ago.
Alternator about 5-8 years old.
New transmission solenoids yesterday.

i have a portable car booster, and when boost the car, the will mostly just crank but won't start. If I connect my code reader, the car will start right away. If I remove the code reader after starting the car, the power to the vehicle quickly shuts off and the car stalls. My battery drains quickly although it’s new.

Any ideas?

I replaced the starter, unfortunately no change with the condition of the vehicle. It’s as though my obd scanner became some form of shut off switch and the car has no electrical power or the power gets drained very quickly the moment I remove the scanner from the obd port.

Also now i’m getting a check engine light with P0963 and P0967 and the D light is blinking. I’ve replaced the transmission shift solenoid and also the transmission control solenoid, photos of parts replaced and obd codes attached.

Any ideas/suggestions now?

We only handle one problem per thread so you will need to start a new one for the code issue, we will stick the battery drain no crank issue on this thread.

https://www.2carpros.com/questions/new

It sounds like it can be a ground cable issue, when the key is in the crank position do you get power to the small trigger wire? Please refer to the first post I made and let me know.
