So, I changed my starter, put it back together, new battery, now when I drive it won't shift out of gear. I believe it stays in 1st or 2nd gear, not sure which one. On the dash where it tells you what gear you are in they are all boxed and at the end there's an 8. PRNDL8 I believe. Also, I can't pop my trunk from my keyless entry fob. I did see my cable linkage bushing was worn so replaced that. I had several codes come up but reset it and now only 1 code comes up. P0706 transmission range sensor rationality. It did have P0750, P0171, and P0700. Please help.

So three of these are transmission codes while the last one is for a lean mixture, please start a new thread for that code because they are not related.

P0706: Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Range/Performance
P0750: Shift Solenoid 'A' Malfunction
P0700: Transmission Control System Malfunction
P0171: System Too Lean (Bank 1)

I would change out the gear range sensor and then clear the codes which should make the other two codes go away. Here is the location of the gear range sensor and how to change it out. Unfortunately, the valve body will need to be removed. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
