Transmission will not shift into park?

This can be the shift cable, or the gear range sensor that has fallen apart internally. I would remove the shift cable from the transmission and try to move the shifter into park if it works no problem then the gear range sensor is bad, if you still have the problem of shifting into park the cable needs to be replaced, here are the instructions for both repairs in the images below. Please let me know what happens. Also, if you could upload a short video of the issue that will help me see what's going on. In either case you must remove the cable from the transmission which will help with the repairs.
