When I accelerate in any possible gear from moving the shifter, the will not actually roll or move but the connection of the cable to the transmission does move. How is it possible to have the car do that? Its like it secretly throws itself back to neutral when I shift into drive.

If you are saying that you shift the transmission into gear but the car does not move you have a transmission problem. Check the fluid level and color you want to see full and clear red color. If it is brown or black and smells it is probably time for a rebuild as you have internal parts failure.
