Bought my vehicle listed above (sport) and it was running perfect. Next thing I know the check engine light came on. Within the next four days it wouldn't reverse or accelerate without the RPM being in the red while in drive. I've had it less than one month and drove it for two weeks. I cannot afford to put it in the shop and I don't know what to do. Someone please help me, I really love my truck and really really need it.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

The first thing you need to do is scan the computer for diagnostic trouble codes. Here is a quick video showing how it is done:

I realize most people don't own a scanner, but often times a parts store will lend or rent one to you. Also, they will most times scan the computer for free, but I don't know if it is safe to drive. Once we have the diagnostic codes, it will point us in the right direction.

Now, have you checked the transmission fluid level? There is a dipstick near the firewall, behind the engine which is for checking fluid level. With the engine at operating temp, running, and the transmission in park, check the fluid level and condition.

Let me know what you find. Also, if you can get the codes, it would be very helpful.

Take care,
Joe
