My wife was driving and slowed at a yield sigh and when she gave it gas to pull out it did nothing. The car goes fine in reverse, but it won't move forward in any of the forward gears. There was no warning of any kind from the transmission at all. I drained the fluid there was not anything shinny in the fluid but it was really black.

Hi and welcome to 2CarPros.

If your fluid came out black it likely means the clutch packs are gone. Given the mileage you posted I would guess a shift servo failed and smoked the clutch packs. If reverse is working then the pump is likely fine.

Welcome to 2CarPros. Really black fluid isn't good, does it also feel gritty and smell burnt? If yes to those then it most likely is time for either a rebuilt transmission or a used one.
