I have a vehicle that wont start. When I turn the key over the brake warning light ⚠ comes on as if the parking break is on. This has happened before but shortly after started up. What do I need to do to start her up?

The "Brake" warning light is supposed to turn on in the "crank" position. That is the bulb-check feature in all cars.

The first thing you need to do is determine if the starter relay is clicking. I suspect it is not, but to be sure, put your finger on it, then feel for the click when a helper turns the ignition switch to the "crank" position. Do not rely on listening because there are other relays that will be clicking on and off.
