Wont start after MSD cable touched battery

I tried to hook up an MSD and when the cable touched battery it sparked and when I held it on it made sound in car as if key was in ignition. Also, when trying to start the mileage shows( - - - -) not numbers. Not sure what to do.

Check all fuses, in car and under hood you may have blown them or one. Then have a mechanic scan for codes as you may have damaged info center or dash auto parts cannot read those type of codes.
