acts like it wants to start, but it will not stay running?

The car acts like it wants to start, but it will not stay running when I give it gas it turns off. I sprayed starting fluid in the intake and it stays on or pops.

IT sounds like it isn't getting fuel. Have you checked fuel pump pressure?

No, i have not check the fuel pressure as I do not know how and I do not have a fuel pressure gauge?
