Wiring problem

Put the wire back in what?

Touching the top prong of the alternator plug.

I did not realize I the air conditioner wire has been cut in half and was hanging at the bottom. That is fixed now but my lights all still on. alternator seems to be working fine .

You said before, "my battery light and ABS light came on, the only way it will go off is if I put the wire back to it. " I asked "put the wire back in what?" I assume you answered put the wire back to the air conditioner. But now you say the lights are still on, I assume you mean the ABS and battery lights. Is that correct? If so, why did you say before "the only way it will go off is if I put the wire back to it. Unless you did not mean back to the air conditioner. Now I have to ask, was this a blue/red wire to the air conditioner compressor? If so was the air conditioner actually turned on or that wire how?
I might add that shorting an alternator circuit could blow one of the six diodes inside the alternator which would cause the battery light to come on, although the alternator could still work.
I do not see how the ABS light would be in common though, so are you sure it is still on? was it on before this wire shorted?
wait, I do see a fuse #11 in common for both the ABS light and battery light, in the fuse block, behind dash, left side of steering column.
