Wiring harness pinout needed?

I need a firewall plug diagram for a 1997 k1500.

Hi,

I believe I have the correct one for you. It should be a light gray, 36 pin connector. If that is incorrect, let me know.

If you look below, pic 1 is the connector. The remaining pictures indicate the function of each of the connector pins, wire color, wire gauge, and so on.

Take a look through this and let me know if this is what you need.

Yes, I think that’s right but by any chance is that a difference in that plug and a 1998 k1500 with a 5.7? If so, I need a pinout for that too.

Hi,

They appear very similar, but there are a few differences. What I recommend is to print out the information I provided and do a side by side comparison.

If you look below, I attached the info for a 98 with the 5.7L.

Is there any difference between a regular k1500 and a work truck model? Just asking.

The 1997 is a work truck and I didn’t know if that would make a difference in the plugs.

Hi,

I double-checked and that is the only one for a 98. I suspect there may be connector wires that may or may not be used based on options.
