Hi,

Wow. That is going to be a tough one. Not knowing what all has been cut, I'm going to start with the no spark issue.

If you look below, I attached the wiring schematics for the powertrain management circuits. I had to cut each pic in half to make it readable, but I did overlap them where I cut.

In pic 4, I highlighted the ignition coils for you.

Let me know if this helps.

Joe

Thank you for replying so quickly. This really helps. One more question though, do you think that the EWS/ Eectronic immobilizer was triggered when harness was cut?

Hi,

I don't believe that would have triggered it. If anything, it would have disabled it.

Let me know how things work out for you or if there is anything I can help with.

Take care,

Joe

Thank you again. I have harness together and plugged into ECM. Still crank no start. No spark, no fuel still. I also noticed that there is a yellow key indicator light on display on the driver's side.

Hi,

The yellow key light sounds like it could be related to the anti-theft. Was any of the wiring damaged at the anti-theft module? See pic below.

Let me know.

The anti theft module pictured looks like it's under the cowl for wipers. It's not in that location on this mini s. But there is a little black box next to the battery.

Hi,

Did you remove the cover on the cowl? That is the only location it is showing in my manual.

Let me know.

Removed cowl. The only box under there is the one in first pic. Is this the one?

Hi,

That appears to be it. It should have been mounted. Was it loose under there?

I knocked it loose a few days ago trying to install the battery. Although the red wire with white clip was not fully seated. Pushed clip in. Still nothing. Still no fuel no spark condition. There's also 3 wires see pic below that are I believe go to the cam sensor. They are orange, white, and yellow. Would that cause a no spark no fuel condition?

Hi,

The wire colors you mentioned appear to be for the camshaft position sensor. Is the connector still there? (See pic below)

As far as no spark or fuel, I would think the DME would go into a preset mode to allow the engine to run, but anything is possible. They need to be connected, so it would be worth a try.

On the other hand, if there is no ignition received (engine starting), the fuel pump is turned off to prevent flooding.

Let me know.

Joe

There is no connector for cam sensor. Neither is there one for the MAF the 4 wires next to it in same pic. Will definitely get those connectors on there and let you know how it goes.
