Wiring for Heated/Ventilated seats

Shot in the dark - but I have a 2002 4runner I'm attempting to do a seat swap in.

I was able to wire up some seats from a Volvo XC70 but they were too tall and wide.

I found the MKS heated/ventilated seats with the power lumbar and pulled them from a salvage yard.

I'd seen some wire diagram posts for MKZ/MKX - is it same for MKS and any thoughts on how to wire up to a set of switches for the Heat/Ventilation and get it powered up in a different vehicle?
many thanks!

Hi,

I have to be honest, I'm not sure where I would start with this one. I have attached wiring schematics (MKS) for the seats. Pics 1 and 2 are for the driver's seat and climate-controlled seats. Pics 3 and 4 are specific to the passenger's side seat power options.

Pics 1 and 2 for the climate-controlled seats

Pic 3 and 4 are for the passenger side seat controls

Take a look through them and see if this helps. You didn't mention the rear seat heaters, so let me know if you need them as well.

Take care,
Joe

Joe,

Many thanks. That confirms that MKS wiring is at least slightly different from MKX (Only schematic I could find via Google.)

Any chance you could:

A) Post driver side seat motor diagram so I can confirm power wire colors?

B) Know know how to decode or where I could find full descriptions for climate control schematic? (The abbrev on left)

Almost picturing wiring work around.

Motors just splice into power/ground & done (was a 2nd wire to power on XCs bunearly that simple)

Climate control - I see +/- for both. I'm almost what looks to be hot/cool and high/low, just needing to picture how to replicate. MKS main dash circuit with 2 pair switch/relay per side.

Again many thanks for the diagrams posted already!

Hi,

I think you are referring (+ / -) which indicate power or ground. As for the driver's seat, the only thing I was able to find was a pin-out of the connectors for each motor. I attached them. Also, the last pic shows the locations of specific components on and in the seat.

I hope this helps.
