Hello,
Are the wires color coded? I would use butt connectors and attaches, let's say for instance, if you cut a blue wire with a white stripe, a green wire, and a yellow wire. The blue with a stripe wire to the blue with a white stripe, the green wire to the green wire, and the yellow wire to the yellow wire, and so on. In the diagrams down below I have included the Engine Performance Circuits Wiring diagrams for your vehicle. It looks like the dark green with white stripe is providing switched power to the control side of the fuel pump relay, the pink wire is coming from the fuel pump (15A) fuse from the Instrument panel (IP) fuse box to the power side of the fuel pump relay, and the gray wire is supplying battery +(12 volts) to the fuel pump via the energized power side of the fuel pump relay to the fuel pump, and the black wire coming from the fuel pump grounds to ground#304 underneath the left front seat frame rail.
Thanks,
Alex
