WIRES HANGING FROM REAR VIEW MIRROS

There is a bundle of wires hanging from the rear view mirror. What are these for and why are they hanging down.

they are hanging down because the wrong mirror was installed for what ever reason they are probably for temp direction etc.

Thank you. If I order the correct mirror then the cable could be connected and hidden?

there has to be a connector and not just bare wires.there may be 3wires hanging dow or a connector like shown in pic.it can be either an automatic dimming mirror or a electronic compass mirror you will need to know the code for that which a dealer at parts counter can give you.

I believe they are for the two interior lights under the mirror.
