This is more information for me than anything else.

I am having a hard time finding what this is that plugs into the radiator. I’ve replaced the thermostat and temperature sensor on the engine itself, but I can’t find anything about what this is on the radiator.

It has a single wire going into it and it’s about 2 inches below the fill cap of the radiator. If this is a sensor, should I replace it since I’ve replaced the temperature sensor on the engine or what?

Hi,

I believe you are seeing a coolant level sensor. I tried looking but can't find it in my manuals. I did, however, find an AC Delco part number. It is 25005074. If you don't have a light indicating low coolant, I would leave it alone. I did find a pic online and attached a pic of it below.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care and God Bless,

Joe

Okay, thanks. That’s makes since it would be a sensor of low coolant. I’m good on levels and haven’t seen a dash light so I’ll consider it good!

You are very welcome. I agree. If it isn't broken, don't fix it. LOL

Please feel free to come back anytime you have questions.

Take care,
Joe
