I can not identify this wire.
I purchased this vehicle second hand and recently found this cable tucked near the intake manifold underneath the throttle body.

It shares a loom with the wiring for the IACV .

Can anyone identify it for me?

This is the 2001 non-EGR LX version 1.7L.

A diagram would also be appreciated.

Here is a more clear picture.
It is red/yellow.

Looks like the red/yellow wire is for the intake air temp sensor. I included the diagram from the IAT to the PCM.

Let me know if you need more info or anything else. Thanks

The IAT is on the driver side of my vehicle and the connector is attached. I think that it may be the oil pressure sensor because I found the connector missing and a portion of the sensor missing .

Well that would make sense because looking at that wire again, it is actually a yellow wire with a red tracer. Unfortunately that makes a difference because the red wire with yellow tracer (red/yellow) is for the IAT.

Looks like you found it anyway. Well done. Let us know if you need more info.

The main issue I'm having is a rough idle/misfire.

I've done a number of things to try and remedy this but so far no solution yet.

That's originally how I found that loose wire , hoping it had something to do with my issue.

I've checked compression.

Swapped coils , new spark plugs.

Swapped the ELD Relay (because the misfire is most present when I'm in drive).

Cleaned the IACV + Throttle body.

Ran fuel injector cleaner through gas tank
.
I just bought 3 fuel injectors ..

Is there a way I can check my currently installed ones?

I'm also ready to change out the intake manifold gasket and exhaust manifold gasket .

I'm going to do one at a time.

But if you can give me some advice I would truly appreciate it .

Unfortunately we need to start with getting a new post started. We need to keep each post to one topic. Others won't find the solution to the misfire issue under this header.
