Replaced the wiper motor and transmission. Wipers still only park in the middle of the windshield. I can take them off the motor and move them to any angle but it only parks in the same spot. I bought a new ECM that controls the wipers, it’s under the center console area, passenger side. However, it has to be programmed at the dealership.
How do I determine if it’s the wiper control module before I pay for programming?

No Engine light on
New Wiper Motor
New Wiper Transmission
New Wiper Switch

This could be a control module issue, but I just want to confirm you are talking about a BCM.

Can you provide the part number of the module?

So that means we need to find out if this is the case by running through the testing that I am attaching below.

Here is a guide that will help with this type of testing:

Please see the testing and we can go from there.

Thanks

This is the replacement BCM I bought. This car sits at work most of the time, so I have yet to take it home and troubleshoot it. I believe it has a small vacuum leak now because of code P0171 that came up today.

That is the correct BCM for this vehicle as shown below. So, I agree that this is the most likely cause.

As for the vacuum leak we are going to have get a new post started for that simply because we need to keep each one-to-one topic so that others can find the solution to it if they are having a similar issue and they won't find that under this topic.
