When my car was parked in the sun for a while and I start it, the automatic wipers wipe once and then return to normal. The wipers work in all other circumstances correct.

Hello,

It sounds like the BCM is going out. Here is the wiper wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works and the location of the BCM. You will need to have the BCM programmed which will cost about $130.00 at a shop.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

Thank you Ken. You have given me a starting point to begin tracing the problem. I am a pensioner and cannot afford to pay for the programming. I also stay in a small town with few people with the necessary knowledge. I will try to rectify the problem and let you know of my solution.
Kind regards.
Thanks for the help.

You might be able to get a used or rebuilt unit that will plug and play. Please let me know what happens.
