Wiper and hazard lights stay on

Sounds like you have a network communication issue or water intrusion in a connector causing electrical issues. Start with pulling codes and then you will simply need to start pulling connectors apart looking for water intrusion on the inside of the connectors.

The wipers staying on is typical when the CAN bus communication is interrupted. The wipers on is a default.

I would start with codes and go from there. Hopefully that will point us in the best direction of a connector or module as the issue.

After drying everything up and getting a new battery all is good on that issue. Removed the seat to get the wires tested as the seat wasn't working, turned out the module was bad so replaced it. After doing many things trying to get it ready to sell one thing arose. Whenever I turn the key to the "off" position the front 2 windows roll down.The seat moves back and the steering up as it has the AFS system, but it does not have the AFS button to disable it. Anyways, not sure why the windows roll down on it. I disconnected the the rod for the driver side, the one that connects to the door key hole as it was driving me crazy while I was installing a new outside door handle, could that be a possibility? Whether doors are locked or unlocked the windows roll down.

The one thing that is common to all those issues is the body control module which controls all those functions. It may have also got wet and failed internally.

If you have a scan tool, see if you can read the live data from the BCM.

I will do that, but this only started today with no events in between.

all electronics and window work fine, no codes in the BCM. I noticed that if you turn the car off and stay inside everything is fine, but as soon as you open the driver side door both front windows roll down, so wired. I don't want to spend too much money on this car being old and has lots of miles am just trying to sell it but need to fix this first.

Just to be clear, the other issues are not happening anymore it is just the windows? Those are controlled by the body controller mentioned earlier. It appears there is possible damage to the body controller that is commanding the windows down when you open the door.

I agree. I would presume you have a bad body control module.

You can try having it re programmed but I doubt that will fix it. It most likely got damaged from the water.

Yes, the other issues were due to really low battery and maybe the flood not sure. but once the battery was replaced all was good. I then weeks later replaced the door handle on driver side and the keyhole part would not go in for some reason unless I disconnect the rod from it, not sure if it has anything to do with the windows., other than the rod is being for locking and unlocking and all windows work, lock mechanism work on the inside switch. does it require programming if I buy a used one once I confirm it is bad or is it a plug and play?

It is a programmable module and needs to be programmed to your VIN.

I would discourage buying a used one as most will not accept new programs and you would be out a few bucks. I would just get the correct new one and have it programmed.

Just removed the door handle again and lifted the rod that was connected to the keyhole piece and all good! It was basically in the locked position, and so the car has a security feature in case they are locked and you are in.
