If the car was available with smaller wheels and tires, there should be no problem with clearance, but handling will be compromised. If the outer circumference of the tire is smaller, the speedometer and odometer will not be in calibration. Also be aware that if you have anti-lock brakes, it is critical that all four tires have exactly the same outer circumference.
