Windshield wipers intermittently not working?

When putting wipers on they fail to work. Then after trying several time they start to work. They fail to come on most of the time but then will start to work.

This can be the switch or the wiper motor so when you turn the wipers on high, please check for power at the purple wire, if no power is present replace the switch if you do have power replace the motor.
