Window regulator replacement

Hi,

Here are the directions from Alldata for regulator replacement. The attached pictures correlate with the directions.

Removal

Window Regulator, Front

1. Remove front door trim panel and front door trim shield. See: Doors

Warning: if the front door power window regulator counterbalance spring must be removed or replaced for any reason, ensure that the front door power window regulator arms are in a fixed position prior to removal to prevent possible injury during c-spring unwind.

2. Remove front door belt line inside weatherstrip and door window glass inner stabilizer.
3. Remove front door window glass as outlined.
4. Remove two nut and washer assemblies attaching the window regulator equalizer arm bracket.
5. Remove four rivets attaching the front door power window regulator base plate to door inner panel.
6. Disconnect body main wiring.
7. Remove front door window regulator and front door window channel bracket assembly from front door.
8. Working on a bench, carefully bend tab flat to remove window regulator arm rollers from front door window channel bracket.

9. Install new window regulator arm rollers into front door window channel bracket and bend tab back to 90 degrees. (Use care not to break tab. If tab is cracked or broken, replace front door window channel bracket.)
10. Remove bolts retaining window regulator electric drive to front door window regulator.

Installation

1. Install the front door window channel bracket onto front door window regulator.
2. Install window regulator electric drive to front door window regulator.
3. Install front door window channel bracket, front door window regulator and window regulator electric drive into front door. Set the regulator base plate to front door inner panel using base plate locator tab as a guide.
4. Install four rivets to attach front door window regulator to front door inner panel.

NOTE: Two 1/4-20 x 1-inch bolts and two 1/4-20 nut and washer assemblies may be used as alternates for front door window glass retention. However, torque must not exceed 4-7 N-m (3-5 lb-ft). Equivalent metric retainers may be used.

5. Install window regulator equalizer arm bracket.
6. Install rear door glass inside weatherstrip and door window glass inner stabilizer.
7. Lower regulator arms to access holes in front door inner panel. Install front door window glass as outlined.
8. Connect body main wiring.
9. Adjust front door window glass to ensure proper alignment with front door glass top run. Cycle front door window glass for smooth operation.
10. Install front door trim panel and water-shield.
