I recently replaced a door lock and afterward, only the driver side window worked. A friend used the car this summer and the car battery drained out and needed recharged. After this, now the door locks will only lock and unlock using the key fob and none of the windows will go down. Where should I start?

Hi,

Let's start with the windows. First, each power window has its own fuse. So, either all the fuses are bad at the same time or the power relay which distributes power to the fuses has failed.

The first two pics below show the wiring schematic for the power windows. Pics 3 and 4 identify the fuses which I need you to check.

First, locate the fuse box under the dash on the driver's side. Check the fuses I highlighted in pic 4. In addition to checking if the fuse is good, also confirm there is power to it. Here is a link you may find helpful:

Now, if the fuses are good and receive power, then I need you to remove the power relay in the same box. If there is another relay with the same part number, switch them to see if it allows the windows to work. If there isn't one, here is a link that explains how to test a relay:

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
