I was driving and had the engine light turn and it started running rough. Had the light checked turn out to be the VVT sensor replaced it. Still ran rough and then stopped running and the cat was glowing. Any ideas?

Hi,

If the catalytic converter was glowing red, either we are getting too much fuel to the engine, or the converter is plugged. Also, there could be raw fuel entering the converter due to a misfire.

You indicated it was running rough. Was there a loss of power? Has the check engine light turned on again? If it did, have you scanned it again?

Take a look through this link and let me know if anything mirrors what you experience:

Let me know. Also, let me know if you have a live data scan tool.

Take care,

Joe
