Hi, My car suddenly would not turn over, I was told it was the starter motor which I reply it still nothing. There is power to ignition and the car can be hot wired but will not start via the key. It just has a normal type key with no buttons for immobilizer. Anyone have any ideas? Desperate to get car going. Thanks, Bazz

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

First, start by testing if power is getting to the solenoid on the starter. Follow this link:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/starter-not-working-repair

If there is no power to the smaller wire on the starter, test the starter relay. You can switch it with another relay with the same part number. If one is not available, here is a link that discusses how to test a relay:

Let me know if this helps.
