will not start?

Our friend tried to put a brake adjuster on and could not. The next day it would not start; it turned over, no lights or electric. I put a new battery in, and it started once, then nothing again. i try to jump it with another vehicle nothing but a ticking sound in dash board below steering wheel, but it would start with a jump start box and stay running.

Hi,

When you say brake adjuster, what do you mean? Are you referring to an electric brake controller for a trailer?

As far as the no-start, are all other electrical components working since the battery was replaced? Also, are the battery terminals clean and tight?

Let me know. Also, let me know what was done with the brake adjuster and exactly what it is.
