My truck will not start only if I put starter fluid in the throttle body I changed the fuel filter and checked the timing and it is good and I have spark. I put a new map sensor on it. Once I get it running it run fine

Have you checked fuel pressure, key on engine off? Do you have the spider fuel system or TBI/throttle-body injection? With TBI you can see injector spray pattern, with the spidewr system you can't.

The spider fuel systems are generally known for problems, the fuel poppets stick.
