The most common cause it the ignition module located right next to the coil on the same bracket. You can also check the cam sensor (in the distributor) and the crank sensor (behind the bottom of the harmonic balancer).
If you replace the ignition module make sure you use thermal compound behind it. The thermal compound breaks down over time and they over heat. This is why its a common failure.
